Another couple of diversions for the team, Alastair has been busy all this week looking after the engineers doing the detailed structural inspections with Culverts 42A, 44A and 45A all featuring on the list. Today Dave, Nigel, Michael and Andrew attended a course to gain the LANTRA brushcutter qualification. Poor old Culvert 11A at Stanton has had to take a back seat.

The brushcutter training went well with a 100% pass rate, the sun even made an appearance for the outside sessions.

Safety checks and routine maintenance training |
For the practical we headed round to Defford Straight, to clear the area around the up side cess headwall.

With the team doing the training it provided an opportunity for a bit more maintenance. The new camera unit for the drain cam was fitted, we'll be able to get CCTV images inside the pipes again.

Back to Stanton to finish the gully drain on Saturday, the 'holiday' is over.
Thats one hell of a tree root growing out of the headwall, how will you deal with it ?
